  • A Mother's Love Endures Through All

Hi y'all! We're back in MO since last Thur. eve. Were at hubby's parents for the wk.end along with 5 of his sisters...(he only has 2 and a half doz. of em) and his only bro. so we had a great time together! His sisters hail from VA, OH, IN, AR, and the oldest lives in the same yard as grandpas. Got to see the oldest nephew and his family for an hr. or so Sun. eve....they'd just come home from Florida! Most of us waited the New Year in with the children playing games etc. Was a nice quiet bunch (to play games) with only 10 grandkids there. Would've been nice if every one could've been there, but what would we have done with 64 more people?? (this includes in-laws, grands, 'n great-grands w/a grand total of 92 people.)

We left for my Mom's to spend N.Yrs. day with some of my family around 6:30 am. and got here at 9:30. Was only 3 of my sisters, 2 in-laws, 'n 3 nieces, 1 great-nephew there besides 5 of us...a total of only 15 with 66 missing! We missed them all, but then again it's nice to spend quiet, quality times together w/just a few once in awhile too.

We'll be here in Missouri for another wk. before we head west again. We plan to be at the "Triangles" Quarter Horse Sale in Shawnee, OK next Fri. 'n Sat. on our way back home to CO and after a day or two at home we'll head on up to the Denver Stock Show for sev. days. I know right now, after that, I'll be good and ready to stay home for a good long while!!

Pray for "angelgurl83" n Nelli as they (and their trusty chauffeur, Jo's fiance) travel from CO to GA leaving tonight(?) (There's another 'snow' due tomorrow night) They plan to stop off in KY before heading to Heritage Bible School where 'Nell will be attending for the next 3 wks. c ya, CK

  • My children keep reminding me it's time to update, but I feel so "xanga delinquent" and rather out of my realm, although I love reading other people's posts, and I've been discovering some long lost friends, and children of long lost friends from Bible School! So, maybe it's worth it after all!

I worked at the Grace Kids Day Care Center today, taking care of the Bible Study Teachers' children while they prepare 'n review their class lessons for tomorrow. There's a community Bible Study then on Wed. at a diff. church and usually 2 of us, (between my dau. niece, or I ) work in two of the nurseries there. I usually work in the Infant nursery, and really enjoy it. Hopefully tomorrow I'll remember to take my camera so I can post some pictures of my little sweethearts!

My Big Sweetheart had to go to Utah tonight for a load of cattle, and would've wanted to take me with him, but since his expected arrival back home isn't till 2-3:00 am and I need to be at work by 8:45, I decided I better stay here and get some sleep, as my lower back has been giving me fits here lately.

Early Mon. morn we were scheduled to pick up a pot load up north of Rifle, towards Craig, and deliver them over the mountains down to La Junta, which is back towards MO! There was a bad snow storm in the mountains....a prediction of 8-12" with drifting and 'hazardous' driving conditions, so we cancelled out. Am glad when my nephew, who usually runs our truck, will be back on the job, so Hubby can stay home again. His office work keeps him pretty busy, and we also have 25 Registered Quarter Horses who need alot of TLC too, and as soon as the weather clears up, they need to be ridden. If you love riding horses, come on out for some free rides. You may get to go trail riding in the mountains once warm weather comes along. Cya.

  • Hello again,

We had an interesting speaker at church tonight. He was an 81 yr. old man (that didn't act or look much older than 61  ) by the name of Bernie Getter from the Church Of Christ Mission in Sitapur, India. He originally hailed from Wisconsin, but has been a missionary to India for almost 60 years!

Mr. Getter showed slides of the great work among the people of India and what God has done in the last 58 years....they have a Christian Training Institute with an enrollment of  65-100 students; they have a Church Planting Ministry with over 122 congregations (with trained leadership) 117 Pastoral staff. There's been 12,400 baptisms in the last 58 yrs. and there were 90 VBS programs conducted this yr. alone. They also have 8 Children's Homes with nearly 500 enrolled, supervised by 18 fulltime staff members.

Their Christian Day School system is awesome....30 Primary Schools, 8 Middle Schools, 4 Jr. Highs, 3 Jr. Colleges, 33 Nursery schools with over 600 "tots".....a total enrollment of over 5,600 children and youth.

The work also includes a 25 bed Medical Clinic w/trained medical personnel, and also an agricultural program to help area farmers and as part of the High school students' Hands-On Curriculum.

As you think of this work as it spreads deeper and deeper into the jungle, pray for the preachers and leaders and all the workers as they bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a people that is engulfed in idol worship and heathenism and where the power of darkness is very prevalent. Pray that the seed might be sown in these dear children's hearts and that they'll be the Christian Church of the next generation...men and women for Jesus, and continue to spread the Gospel till Jesus comes again.

  • Hi there....guess if I am going to be a Xanga-ite, then I may as well post something once in awhile.

I don't know alot of you xanga people personally, but know some of you....cause I know your Mom & Dad and possibly your grandparents....and are even friends with some of them (and possibly even related, so beware!)

If you discover this site visited your site, maybe 3 or 4 times in one day....don't panic....it's not the same person...there's 4 of us leaving footprints from here. Hopefully it won't cause too much chaos.

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving...I know we sure did, but can't go into detail on it tonight. God Bless you all...TTYL.
